Set in the borderlands, Nostalgias of November, Arturo Magaña Amaya’s first collection of bilingual poems, is a bridge from the struggle of our labor to the serenity of our memory, from the voices of our ancestors to the songs of the barrio, a migration from the desolation of deserts to the fertile fields of our eternal hope.

Reviews

Thought Provoking Collection of Poems

“This is a wonderfully written series of poems that is relevant to current times. Not only I am Hispanic but I also live in Arizona where Spanglish is very common. As I read the author’s poems, it often took me back to my childhood. The traditions and display of culture in his poems touched my heart. Thank you for publishing such a beautiful book.

Lovely collection of poems

“Nostalgias of November” is a captivating collection of poems that delves into themes associated with family, nature, and the sometimes inconsequential observations of life. The poems are in both Spanish and English. The author is a thoughtful and emotional storyteller.

Emotions evoked through poetry and storytelling

“This book of poems is filled with emotion, detail. They share tales of joy, love, challenges, struggles, injustices, family and so much more. I love the English and Spanish versions to really capture both audiences. Very talented storytelling through poetry.”
