Student Submissions

A brief description.

The undergraduate branch of Mimbres Press of Western New Mexico University aims to publish an online journal of academic work by New Mexico undergraduate students.

The journal will consist of works in the following categories: Academic Papers (such as research projects), Essays, Creative Writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and short stories), and Art.

Policies

All submissions from undergraduate students currently working towards a degree or from undergraduate students that graduated in the past 12 months are welcome. Recent graduates are asked to submit work that they completed during their enrollment in undergraduate school.

All academic papersessays, art, and creative writing completed by an undergraduate student, including work completed as in-class assignments, are welcome. Please limit creative writing to a length no longer than a short story. Essays and creative writing should be well-formatted.

Mature language in creative writing submissions is allowed within reason.

Submissions of artwork are welcome in the form of a large, well-taken photo. WNMU students have access to photography equipment at the Media & Education Technologies Services located in Miller Library on campus.

Mimbres Press of Western New Mexico University will not consider romance novels, erotica, thrillers, horror, or film scripts.
